Minutes of Letsbuzz meeting
held at Christine Walter’s house

1 Minutes of previous meeting
Jane apologised that the sterling treasurer’s audited accounts were not yet on cyclos but she will keep trying to upload them.
Christine reported that she has booked a table at the Indian Ocean restaurant on Wing Road at 6.30pm.
Jean has booked the Friends Meeting House for a Talk & Trade on Saturday 26 November 2016. Gill has agreed to give a presentation on composting. [This was discussed further later in the meeting]
Sue has reserved a space for a Letsbuzz tree at the St. Barnabas Church Christmas Tree Festival this year. [This was discussed further later in the meeting]
It was agreed that the next Bring & Share meal would be held at Linslade Community Hall on Sunday 22 January. Jane will book the hall.
Jane reported that the Offers & Wants facility in cyclos is working again.
2 Officers’ Reports
Were duly noted
Jane reported that she had recently attended a Hemplets’ Talk & Trade. Hemplets would like to establish stronger links between the two organisations.
3 Leaflets
Jane reported that she had updated the Letsbuzz leaflet and passed around the result. A number of further amendments were suggested and noted by Jane. Jane’s wreath-making on Saturday 12 December from 2pm to 4pm was noted.
Jane suggested distributing the new leaflets at foodbanks because the people making use of foodbanks may be interested in the benefits of using a Lets scheme. Jane also suggested that new members who join through using foodbanks be given free membership at least for the first year.
Both suggestions were approved at the meeting.
4 Christmas Tree Festival
The festival begins on Thursday 1 December when trees are to be set up.
Mary offered to provide a tree and Christine offered to provide lights for the tree.
Jane will invite members to bring suitable decorations to the next Letsbuzz meeting on 28 November.
5 Talk & Trade
Gill reported that she will need a projector and screen for the presentation which she will give at the Talk & Trade. Caroline offered to provide a screen and Gill said she would ask Rory if he has a projector she can borrow.
6 AOB
Caroline reported that she has material for the next Letsbuzz newsletter and will be publishing it soon.
